Our name carries its own poetry. “Fort” reflects the quiet strength and grace of our fortress-inspired design, while “Arabesque” honors the timeless artistry carved into our doors and windows. Together, they speak to a spirit of authenticity, elegance, and belonging. Fort Arabesque’s journey began in 1997, when founders Mr. Jean-Pierre Kabalan and Mr. Gabrielle Mancusi envisioned a sanctuary shaped by the extraordinary promise of Makadi Bay. Their visionary touch brought to life a retreat where natural beauty and refined hospitality exist in gentle harmony — a philosophy that continues to welcome travelers as part of our extended family.
